"RESSA" Gazing across the yard, I can't help but notice It doesn't seem the same. Yesterday it was so secure, fresh and inviting, Today there is a change. The sassy squirrel who always sits upon the wood pile Waiting to play the game, Looks very sad today He doesn't seem the same. The bunnies aren't running today, They just sit and wait. The garbage cans aren't knocked down Over there by the gate. "Pink Piggy" doesn't make her squeaking sound, Raef has no one to tease and chase round and round. The soccer ball that yesterday spun with joyful glee Today sits ever so still saying, "Won't you play with me"? As the wind blows through the leaves of the big maple tree, I look down at the mound of dirt heaped there before me. I know that's the reason for the change, And it helps my breaking heart to say, We loved you so and will miss you ever more, Our little darling "RESSA RENEE" 12/16/1987-6/3/1990
